We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday.

I was recently reading an article in one of our trade journals. The question they had researched was why patients buy their skin care products. The research was done on 355 individuals. I found it interesting that the study results indicated that these products were purchased for emotional reasons rather than for their benefits.
Personally, when I purchase skin care products, I'm looking for some type of benefit such as replacing collagen or evening out skin tone, etc. If I were in the mood to make emotional, mood elevating purchases, I would probably be buying something like ice cream or chocolate chip cookies, not a face cream!
Well, when I started this blog, I promised myself that I was going to figure out blogging and post at least once or twice a week. Well, according to my blog stats, it has been 810 days since my last post. I didn't want to over post, so I guess now it's time to write again!
Now that we are settled into the new building, I took some time for myself and sat in the tranquility room for a little while. During the construction, I was all stressed about picking colors that would give people a sense of calm. I had this picture in my head about how earthy tones would look and how they would make people feel. I've been happy with the way things turned out, but I never really sat down to experience and appreciate it. I picked the perfect time to try it out. The sun was coming in the hallway window giving it just the right lighting. I just sat for a few minutes and listened to the trickling water from the fountain. The greens and golds were so relaxing! You are welcome to come a little early for your appointment and sit, relax and see for yourself.
Now that summer is here, I know that everybody is being diligent about using their sunscreen. On the outside chance that you do get some color to your skin, you can still continue with your hair removal treatments. Make sure your doctor is using a YAG laser. The YAG has the ability to affect the hair follicle, but not remove the pigment the sun has given your skin.
In trying to keep up with technology, this is my first attempts at blogging! You would think that a woman that could run multiple lasers without difficulty and pass neuroanatomy would be able to start a blog. I'm assume it will get easier with time. Until we get this up and running, feel free to visit our website at: www.LaserCosMedix.com.
